Basketball
Basketball plays a central role in the sports life of Scoil Pádraig Naofa Basketball training takes place weekly during which children from the senior classes learn an array of skills, including balance, dribbling, shooting and defending. This training also gives the children the important and valuable opportunity to experience sports participation in an enjoyable and inclusive manner.
We host a blitz in the school hall each year and many neighbouring schools attend to compete. We liaise with coaches from Basketball Ireland who assist with the running of this competition.
Our children enjoy the privilege of both indoor and outdoor basketball courts in the school.
