Wellbeing Week 2024

We celebrated ‘Wellbeing Week’ on the 6th-8th February in our school. Wellbeing means feeling good and strong in our minds and bodies, having energy, getting along with & helping others, knowing our strengths and feeling proud because we are doing our best!

It also means we can cope with the little problems and disappointments of life & most importantly enjoy life, be grateful for what we have and accept ourselves just as we are!

Each day the children embraced an array of activities such as: shake up to wake-up movement breaks, designing posters with the theme ‘Wellbeing Means...’, completing fun wellbeing challenges daily, doing random acts of kindness, talking about happy times in their lives, stop & drop minutes of mindfulness and expressed their emotions and feeling. The children appreciated what was happening in the world around them while reflecting on their own talents/achievements. The highlight of the week was most definitely teaming up older & younger classes for some ‘buddy time’. The children ‘weaved’ their way through the school and spent some quality time together playing board games, reading/telling stories and getting to know one another by talking to each other.

To top off a fantastic week, we concluded it by wearing our very own slippers! ‘Wellbeing Week’ encouraged us all to take care of both our physical & mental health using various skills, tools & our own knowledge. Thank you to everyone for embracing the week and to all who made this special week possible. It is important to look after one another J
